The Social Running Club
We love marathons. But we only started running marathons for motivation to keep running. We created this club to rediscover what we love about running and find a way to make the training motivating by itself. We're about exploring, making friends, scouting routes, and connecting with each other.
Everybody goes up and down in fitness. The busier our lives the harder it is to find a stress outlet that is also healthy. We're about building a social group with enough critical mass that we'll always have a fun running partner.
Every run needs to finish with something fun. We're about a small reward at the end of a tough run. Whether that's a cup of coffee, a pint of beer, or just company. The Cross Brew Running Club is about building lifelong habits. And for that we need a trigger and a reward. Our trigger is a scheduled Saturday Long Run. Our reward is where we finish.

Do people really drink during the brewery runs? Sort of. The tradition is to share a pint glass between people and just drink a few sips. We're runners first.
Do you have formal waterstops? No. But if people want to volunteer they can.
Can I just show up? Yes.
What do I need to do to join? There are no dues but you need to sign a waiver acknowledging that we are just a group of friends and not responsible for your health or safety.
Do I need to bring anything? Yes. You should bring your own water and fluids. We recommend a fuel-belt. A cell phone might help in case you get lost. Bring a credit card or some money so you can get coffee afterwards.
Do you train for marathons and provide training plans? We don't do anything formally but we can help you work out a plan and many of us will typically be training for some kind of event
